Chinese teaching as a foreign language, as a kind of language teaching, its purpose is to train Chinese learners who are not native Chinese speakers to acquire the language communication skills in Chinese.So the elementary teaching is the key phase for the second language teaching. In this stage, communication should be paid special attention to and the training of listening and speaking should be strengthened to make second language learners master listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and have good command of Chinese in daily communication. Therefore, oral Chinese class occupies a pivotal position in the Chinese teaching as a foreign language.As an activity of teaching practice, the design of Chinese teaching as a foreign language must be conducted smoothly only under the certain theoretical guidance. Therefore, paying attention to the guidance of scientific theory can result in the achievement of ideal teaching effect and the realization of the preset teaching objectives.The author selects the twelfth lesson in Chinese Conversations 301 Sentences, I Want to Buy a Sweater, to make an elaborate teaching design so as to help students learn Chinese more efficiently. Meanwhile, this design can also be taken as teaching reference for other teachers who teach Chinese as a foreign language.This paper can be divided into five parts:The first part is Introduction which mainly introduces the reasons for the subject selection, relevant current research situation and results of teaching design.The second part is the analysis of related theories on the design of Chinese teaching as a foreign language. It specifically elaborates related theories on the design of Chinese teaching as a foreign language to embody the value of this paper and provide theoretical basis for the teaching design.The third part is the analysis of teaching design about the lesson I Want to Buy a Sweater. It covers important contents related to the teaching design and also expounds the current teaching situation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, teaching material and characteristics of Chinese leaners in Thailand. In addition, it also offers the realistic basis for the specific implementation of this teaching design.The fourth part is the process of the concrete implementation for the teaching design, I Want to Buy a Sweater. It makes a detailed and comprehensive teaching design on the lesson and illustrates the design gist after each teaching link to reflect this paper's scientificity. Meanwhile, it also analyzes and summarizes the teaching feedback.The final part is Conclusion. It carries on a comprehensive summary of the whole paper, affirms its innovation and points out its deficiencies as well.
