This paper is a translation report on the webpage translation. The source text comes from an official Chinese website of Study at Dushu Lake which introduces relevant activities and projects organized by Study at Dushu Lake by creating opportunities for Sino-foreign exchange, forming international atmosphere in Suzhou Industrial Park and integrating educational resources in world-famous universities located in Dushu Lake Science and Innovation District. In this paper, the author analyzed features of the source text and put forward translation methods.This report consists of five chapters. Chapter One is a brief introduction to the translation project background and the whole report. Chapter Two briefly describes the pre-translation preparations, including necessary analysis of the source text, useful translation tools and related studies. Chapter Three is devoted to the case study, from the aspect of diction and sentence structure, the author uses online resources and parallel texts; from the aspect of literary form, rewriting and omission are two effective methods; from the aspect of culture, suitable alddition is the author's choice. Chapter Four focuses on the proofreading which includes self-proofreading and feedback from the client. Chapter Five serves as the summing-up of what has been learnt and the introspection of the whole process for this translation task.With the application and researches of the webpage translation, the author explored effective ways to improve the quality of webpage translation based on individual practice and the author intended to offer suggestions for subsequent translators who focus on webpage translation.
