A Project Report On The E-C Translation Of Labour Relations,Production Regimes And Labour Conflicts In The Chinese Automotive Lndustry

Chinese automotive industry has entered into the red-hot phase in recent years. However, the development also brought Chinese automotive industry problems like tense labour relations and frequent labour conflicts. The source text of this project report Labour Relations, Production Regimes and Labour Conflicts in the Chinese Automotive Industry, as an informative text, is an empirical research report based on extensive researches. During this project, the author has been troubled by two major difficulties-lexical difficulties and syntactic difficulties. Lexical difficulties cover specialized terms and coinages (multiple-word expressions created by the author of the text or the author of text quoted in the source text). Long sentence is the main difficulty in syntactic level. The author referred to Skopos theory during translation, and several translation strategies were adopted:the author referred to official websites and the context to deal with lexical difficulties. In addition to that, the author also used strategies like amplification, omission, division and inversion to translate long and hard sentences. At the end of this project report, conclusion related to this project shall be stated. The author hopes that this translation practice and research angle can provide a reference to translation on the same type of text.
