Classroom teaching is the main mode of fostering high level English talents. The research on College English Teaching Strategies on the Perspective of Developmental Teaching Theory can enrich the theoretical system of classroom teaching strategies, provide theoretical reference to English teacher.Based on the present situation of Guangxi college English classroom teaching and Development Teaching Theory, This paper adopts the methods of literature and investigation to do theoretical analysis and research.Through investigation, we found that problems on college English Teaching are: do not focus on students' development; teaching aims are simple and fuzzy; neglect students ' dominant position; teaching organization form is single, comprehensive evaluation are not implemented.Teaching affecting Factors include: Sluggishness of traditional teaching restricts the spread of developmental teaching philosophy; inaccurate understanding students' learning situation leads to the unclear purpose;inversion of teaching object makes the choose of teaching methods improper; status of large classes restricts the form of teaching organization; evaluation of knowledge-based ignores the development of students' personality; unclear learning objectives and over-reliance on classroom teaching.Zankov's Developmental Teaching Theory emphasizes:advanced teaching, teaching goes before existing development level to develop students' ability; development is the primary task; establish students' dominant status; advocate class group and individual instruction, and the second class; adhere to comprehensive evaluation to promote student overall development.Based on this,we probe on Strategies recommendations for Guangxi college English classroom teaching. Strategies recommendations for teachers are: Strengthen teachers' training to promote the generation of development teaching philosophy; fully understand the learning situation to determine the teaching purposes of proximaldevelopment zone; clarify the relationship between subject and object to use of a wide range of foreign language teaching methods; develop forms of organization to carry out a variety of English teaching; pluralism evaluation criteria to promote the development of students' English personality. Students' strategies are: correct learning attitude and cultivate interest English learning; ensure learning objectives and improve self-learning ability; strengthen communication,find more English learning ways.
