The English-Chinese Translation Report Of Henry Matthew's Interpretation Of The Second Book Of Chronicles

The case on focus in this report is taken from the translation project between the author and Beijing In Him Inheritance Co. Ltd. The project is the translation of Henry Matthew's interpretation of the second book of Chronicles and it is one literature and religious text. In the process of translation, the author did thorough preparation, reading parallel texts for reference and going through some related material and professional terms, in order to obtain a thorough understanding of the background information, striving to ensure a professional translation, and to meet the needs of target readers at the same time. Besides, the author should attempt to ensure the fluency and clarity of the translation, thus to make readers correctly understand the content of the second book of Chronicles according to the interpretation of Scriptures.The translation of Henry Matthew's interpretation of the second book of Chronicles is a practice under the theoretical guidance of function plus loyalty doctrine by Christiane Nord.
