Yu Zhao and An Lvzhen were great poets from southwest C hina in late Q ing Dynasty and they were a couple.In a view of ideology,except for the amazing natural and humane scenery of his hometown,Yu Zhao's poetry also focused on thought which is patriotic and loyal to the throne,and interest of making friends.which expressed his deep love for the motherland and concern for social reality and also reflected his noble personality.Poems about fa mily emotion occupied an important position in An Lvzhen's poetry,her expressing of kindred feelings was a reflection of the Yi nationality's traditional value about cherishing family's affection.Without superb writing techniques,An Lvzhen's poetry were great for genuine feeling of the author.From a perspective of writting skills,Yu Zhao and An Lvzhen's poetry were not skillful enough.However,writting skills works only for ideological purport,Yu Zhao's poetry were emotional,showed out a common writing style of literati.While An Lvzhen's poetry were moderate and pristine,showing reserve and restraint.As a mirror of the time,poetry were not only a art form,but also a manifestion of life spirit.Yu Zhao and An Lüzhen's poetry reflected their Chinese culture and bicultural complex.From a minority group,Yu Zhao and An Lvzhen employed Chinese to write poems,demonstrated that Confucian culture could live in harmony with Yi culture while preserving each other's integrity.As minority poets,Yu Zhao and An Lvzhen's poetry are of great value for C hinese poetry.Beyond the narrow ethnic consciousness,the “I” confucianism culture idengtity and the C hinese national identity,which was constructed by the mainstream of the ideological content and artistic style of Yu Zhao and An Lvzhen's poetry.It is typical culture identity of intellectuals of Yi nationality in northwestern GuiZhou in that time.
