With the improvement of China's comprehensive strength and the expansion of cultural influence, Mandarin fever has already produced wider influence all over the world. In the new round of Mandarin fever, the Confucius Institute has become a new stronghold of Chinese international promotion and played a huge role. But because of the reasons such as the significant difference between China and other countries, the short period that the overseas teachers and volunteers stay abroad, some Chinese teachers feel overwhelmed when teaching in Confucius Institutes. Further more, it will affect the effect and quality of Chinese international promotion. In view of this situation,the author did research on the Chinese teaching strategies under the background of Italian culture based on the example of Confucius Institute in Pisa. After summarizing the Italian culture background,the whole school teaching situation,the students' learning characteristics and other related factors, this paper puts forward some specific proposals on local Chinese teaching strategies and tests the effects of these strategies by analyzing the results of the final examination. This paper aims at improving Chinese teachers 'teaching ability in Italy, reducing learning difficulties of Italian students, providing ideas on Chinese teaching materials in Italy, improving the effects of Italian Chinese language promotion.On the structure arrangement, this paper contains five parts, which are introduction,Italian culture background, the basic situation of Confucius Institute, the overview of teaching strategies, teaching strategies for Confucius Institute in Pisa and the result assessment of teaching strategies. The introduction part contains the reason why this topic is chosen, research review, research purpose and thesis structure. In the part of Italian culture,the author summarizes the characteristics of Italian culture based on on-the-spot investigation and literature review. The basic situation of Confucius Institute section contains a brief introduction of local teaching situation and student learning preferences analysis. The overview of teaching strategies clearly defines the concept of teaching strategies, and lists the strategies commonly used in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In the part of teaching strategies for Confucius Institute in Pisa, the author puts forward several concrete proposals from three aspects, which are teaching preparation, main teaching behavior and management behavior strategy. In the part of the result assessment of teaching strategies, this paper tests the results of the teaching strategies using the way of counting and analyzing the grades of 178 students in the Confucius Institute in Pisa, finding merits and defects and putting forward suggestions to improve teaching effects.
