The Application Of The Zhangjiakou Region Culture Elements In Posters For 2022 Winter Olympics

Zhangjiakou, the co-host city of the 24 th Beijing Winter Olympics, is one of the centers for the origins of human civilization and is the birthplace of Chinese civilization. Zhangjiakou has its special business cards such as frontier culture, geography and tourism culture, and local folk culture, and it is working on building the culture of low-carbon consumption. It is a significant project for Zhangjiakou to seize the opportunity of Winter Olympics, and further search, protect and advertise the local culture, so as to promote the development of local economy and society.Modern Olympics is the model of human competitive culture at the highest level. It covers a variety of components, such as sports, technology, education, arts, literature, philosophy, communication, and so on. Posters are effective carriers for the fusions of local culture and the spirit of Olympics, as they contain big creation spaces,strong art expressiveness, and strong vision impact, and they are easy to use and very costless. Posters carry practical value, aesthetic value, society value, and culture value. Good posters should follow the principles of correlation, repetition, continuity, coordination, and popularity.The author will design four posters for Winter Olympics, through studying the conjunction point of the local culture of Zhangjiakou and the spirit of Winter Olympics, as well as based on the design principles of posters for Winter Olympics. The four posters are “Chinese tiger baby?The happy year of Winter Olympics” based on paper-cutting elements of Yuxian; “Winter Olympics with fire and ice, China with happy gathering”based on Chinese fireworks “Dashuhua”; “spirit coming from here”based on Mud river culture; “A tribute by heart”based on Culture of The three ancestors.It has been shown that many culture elements of Zhangjiakou can be perfectly adopted into the posters of Winter Olympics. The design principles discussed in this thesis will provide valuable references and examples to the design persons of Winter Olympics.
