The heat on Chinese language study in Malaysia is keep growing every year.The number of Teaching sites who have cooperated with Kongzi institute of university of Malaysia is desirable.The primary Chinese study makes a large of proportion of the whole study in Malaysia which is also very important in Chinese learning process.Instructional design is the bridge that connects course design theory and real teaching,which helps teachers to put theory into practice.This dissertation mainly studies on the Instructional design issues about teaching Chinese for university students in Malaysia,which need the guidance of the principles of language learning and teaching theory.Based on the principles of language teaching and instructional design,this article tries to provide an instructional design on the specific lesson Chinese primary comprehensive course "How are you"Firstly chapter introduces the background of the research,including research methods research content and other related theories.Such as:systematic theory,learning theory,teaching theory and communication theory.Second chapter focuses on the lesson " How are you?" and discuss its instructional design,which contains teaching target,key points of the teaching content and the application of instructional design and teaching media.Third chapter is the core research of the whole paper which illustrates the teaching environment in Defense University,along with the characteristics of students and analyses the teaching materials.According to the procedure of instructional design,the author put theory into teaching environment.Taking notes on the reflection of the students,completion of homework and the questionnaire results.At last summarize the whole evaluation.Fourth chapter summarizes the results and shortcomings of this study based on the students feedback.
