Based on the Mandarin textbook of Malaysian colleges and universities-Basic Chinese,based on the context of Chinese language education environment in Malaysia,the author makes a combing and presentation of the differences between Malaysian-Chinese vocabulary and Mainland-Chinese vocabulary,especially those in textbooks.The purpose is to make domestic scholars have a better understand of Chinese language teaching and teaching materials in Malaysia.At the same time,according to the interviews and surveys of the teachers and students of Basic Chinese,the author make a brief analysis of the influences on learning effects of Chinese learners,including the positive and negative transfer from local Chinese words.As a branch of overseas Chinese teaching,I believe that the study of the differences between Chinese vocabulary and the Malaysian-Chinese vocabulary on local Chinese textbooks in Malaysia can not only provide the teaching ideas for first-line Chinese teachers in Singapore and Malaysia,but also provide the process of Chinese-Localization some reference.In this paper,the local Chinese words in the textbooks are divided into three parts:daily vocabulary,business vocabulary and cultural vocabulary.The following conclusions are drawn from the analysis of the feedbacks.First,the daily vocabulary of Chinese words appear the most,the difference is also the largest.As the daily vocabulary used in life the highest frequency,the widest range,it has the greatest impact on the students' Chinese learning.Therefore,we should pay attention to this part when teaching the new words.Teachers must accurately grasp the differences between the usage of Malaysian-Chinese vocabulary and Mainland-Chinese vocabulary and clearly tell students.Second,business Chinese vocabulary is also very important.Because business vocabulary will be useful in future business jobs of the students.And because of business vocabulary is generally difficult,so when the teachers in the process of teaching this part of vocabulary,they should pay great attention to the teaching methods,especially they need show the meanings of words step by step.At the same time,teachers in business vocabulary lessons need to pay attention to the preparation work,make a good accumulation of Malaysian-Chinese vocabulary.Third,the culture Chinese word is the most distinctive part of the textbook.It involves all aspects of Malaysian culture,creating a rich cultural environment of Malay for Chinese classes.This part of the vocabulary is also unique and irreplaceable in the Malaysian Chinese vocabulary.For teaching this part,teachers must be closely integrated with the Malaysian language and culture,and also should have a deep understanding of the Malay culture,to make the students feel your real respect of their culture,so that the students can produce the cultural identity of Chinese culture.
