| With the improvement of China's international status, Chinese traditional culture has been the focus of the international community, which makes up a huge challenge for translation for China's global communication. With the development of global integration, there are more and more communications in economy, culture and tourism between China and foreign countries. As more and more foreign friends come to China, the demand for good interpreters is on the rise. Escort interpreting requires that the interpreter can accurately introduce and explain the source language to foreign peoples, and strengthen the cultural and emotional communication.This is a piece of escort interpreting practice report, which describes that the author accompanies foreign friends to participate in the Liangshan Yi International Torch Festival in August 2015. This report mainly focuses on the Yi Torch Festival and other related cultural publicity, which is supported by Theory of Adaptation. Through this interpreting practice report, the author further explores the importance of preparation and the translation strategies under the guidance of the Theory of Adaptation. This practice report is mainly divided into two parts:the preparation stage and the interpreting stage. The preparation stage includes the preparation of the Yi culture, such as the introduction to the Yi nationality, the introduction to the Yi's Torch Festival, and the introduction to the local tourist attractions. What is more, the author also prepares some basic vocabularies and makes a psychological preparation in advance. At the interpreting stage, the author sums up some translation strategies to make the adaptation of the interpreting. Through this report the author hopes that our country's Yi traditional culture could receive more attention from the world. What is more, the author also hopes that this report can help other interpreters do good jobs in interpreting, and make contribution to the Chinese cultural publicity. |
