Substance addiction is a pattern of compulsive drug seeking and drug ingestion.Current addiction models focus on the interaction between two processes: attention bias for cues related to addictive substances, which triggers cravings;Another is impaired inhibitory control, which can cause an addict to be unable to resist the urge to use the drug.Substance addiction, including tobacco addiction, has become an economic and social problem that cannot be ignored at present, bringing heavy burden to society and families.A large number of studies have found that exercise has a positive effect on brain function. Some researchers suggest that exercise should be used as an auxiliary treatment for smoking cessation. But there is no evidence that exercise can reduce daily smoking or increase the willingness to quit smoking. In our life, the smoking addiction rate of people with good exercise habits is not lower than that of ordinary people, and the addiction related research does not involve the exercise population.Whether the psychological mechanism of smoking addiction in sports population is consistent with the previous addiction model needs further study. In this study,12 smokers and 12 non-smokers were selected, and a mixed experimental design of 2(Groups)*2(picture types)was used. The variables between the subjects were whether they were addicted to smoking. The subjects were divided into non-smoking exercise group and smoking exercise group. The variables within the subjects were picture type, divided into neutral pictures and smoking related pictures. The modified Go / NoGo paradigm was used(showing neutral pictures and smoking related pictures)and event-related potential technology(ERP)were used to explore the characteristics of control and inhibition of smoking addiction in groups with exercise habits. The results show that:(1)In the Go trials, the correct rate of neutral pictures in the smoking addictive exercise group was significantly higher than that in the smoking related pictures(P < 0.05);(2)In the Go and NoGo trials, the N2 amplitude caused by the neutral picture was significantly larger in the exercise group than that caused by the smoking related picture(P < 0.01;P < 0.05);(3)In Nogo trials,P300 amplitude caused by neutral pictures in the PZ point of the smoking addictive exercise group was significantly smaller than that of the non-smoking exercise group(P < 0.01),but there was no significant difference between the smoking related pictures;(4)In Nogo trials,P300 amplitude caused by neutral pictures was significantly smaller in the smoking exercise group than that of smoking related pictures(P < 0.01),while P300 amplitude caused by neutral pictures and smoking related pictures was not significantly different in the non-smoking exercise group.CONCLUSION:(1)Smoking addiction of people with exercise habit will lead to the impairment of inhibition and control function.(2)Smoking addiction of people with exercise habit are inclined to pay attention to smoking related clues.(3)Inhibition of control function impairment and attentional bias to smoking related stimuli may are the psychological basis of smoking addiction in people with exercise habits.
