The common sense of aesthetic possesses a very important position in Kant's aesthetic system. Kant's dissertation about the common sense of aesthetic is mainly discussed in The Critique of the power of Judgment. First, Kant holds common sense as the presupposition to the subjective university of the taste judgment. Then, during his deduction on the subjective university of the taste judgment, he holds taste as one kind of common senses. Therefore, he comes up with the notion of the common sense of aesthetic and the common sense of logic. At last, he holds that common sense is one aspect or one part of the human supersensible base when he solves the antinomy of taste judgment. In taste judgment, the subject combined the pleasant or unpleasant emotion with the form of the aesthetic object, and the basis of this combination is common sense. Therefore, this thesis tries to deem the common sense of aesthetic as the mediation to combine the internal function of the subject and the form of the aesthetic object. This thesis is composed of five parts. Chapter One is a general prelude, including the background of this thesis, current researching situation and the original of common sense Introduction, discusses the progress of raising and disserting of common sense in the field of aesthetic, and common sense as an archetype in the field of cognition and practice, and the importance of common sense in Kant's aesthetic field. Chapter Two is the Internal Function of the Subject. In this chapter, the author presents some cognitive ability in Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, such as perceptual intuition, imagination, apperception, understanding and reasoning ability. Meanwhile, the author analyzed common sense as the internal function of the aesthetic subject. Chapter Three is the Aesthetic Object describes the aesthetic and sublime. From the perspective of "quality", "quantity", "relation" and "modal" to describe aesthetic, and from the perspective of "mechanics" and "mathematics" to describe sublime. Chapter Four is the Aesthetic Common Sense, which deems aesthetic common sense as the combining mediation between subjective emotion and aesthetic object. In this Chapter, the author describes aesthetic common sense from the correspondence of cognitive abilities in subject to the forms of aesthetic object, and from the combination of the purposiveness of the forms of aesthetic object and the aesthetic common sense. Finally, the Five Chapter is the Conclusion of this thesis.
