Longyan Pick-tea Lantern is a distinctive folk dance and song art of the Han nationality in Fujian area, which was originated from Meishan Village, Suban County of Longyan and then gradually spread throughout between urban and rural areas of Longyan, developed into Pick-tea Lantern with local characteristics, the oldest of which is "Lin Clan" Pick-tea Lantern that is located in Meishan Village, birthplace of Pick-tea Lantern. As a representative of the excellent traditional culture of Longyan Meishan Village, "Lin Clan " Pick-tea Lantern, appearing in the forms of festival parade, temple worship, folk activities etc., is the common cognition of the Hakka people and the main means of historical memory which is handed down from age to age. Later, it gradually become a strong cultural symbol used by Hakka people in whole area of Longyan to transmit critical information to the descentdants, which bears the collective concept and religious culture of hakka families in Longyan.Taking "Lin Clan" Pick-tea Lantern as the research object and through literature analysis, field investigation and dynamic plunge-cut method, this paper is aimed at sorting out historical context and analyzing art form from the overall view of culture for the important branch "Lin Clan" of Longyan Pick-tea Lantern. Then, using Ethnography research field and writing text, a profound analysis of the inheritance and development status of "Lin Clan" Pick-tea Lantern is conducted in order to find the current limitation of the development and present opinions of the author on this issue and explore the future development of "Lin Clan" Pick-tea Lantern. It is expected that more and more people pay attention to the inheritance and protection of local culture, contributing to the continuation and development of hometown culture of the author.
