The Study Of Xianfu About The Warring States Characters

The development of Chinese characters has experienced a long and complicated history. Fo Chinese characters, each stage of the process is filled with simplification、 complication and alienation. Xianfu, as a writing propagation phenomenon, commonly found in various stages of the development and evolution of ancient Chinese characters. From the geographical point of view, different regions characters have different beautification and decoration ways, that are reflected in the Xianfu. Flourished with the complication phenomenon, the letter of the Warring States period are massive and complicated in shape. There are lots of increasing meaningless radicals or repeating the same radical phenomenon, which is not conducive to the character recognition. So, sorting out Xianfu’s basic theory of the ancient characters, determining Xianfu’s judgment standard, analyzing Xianfu’s geographical features of characters of five branches characters of the Warring States period, is a meaningful study, which is worthy looking forward to. Xianfu research is helpful to the the character recognition and to make the character configuration more reasonable. Based on current research results, this paper tries to analyze and discuss Xianfu’s regional characteristics of the Warring States characters.
