As a branch of ancient Chinese character, Warring States character is an important part of the history of Chinese characters. It is the connection link of the bronze inscriptions in Spring and Autumn period and the seal character and official script in qin-han period, The systematic study of the Warring States character is from the 1950s, after half a century of development, has formed a relatively complete discipline system. Since 1949, with the vigorous development of the archaeological research, Warring States Character research has made significant achievements. Various regions have unearthed a large number of ancient writing materials, including bronze, weapons, coins and seals. Numerous scholars have acquired many achievements in aspects such as the explanation of characters, material dating, literature, etc., which provides valuable support for us to make up for lack of ancient literature and to understand the original appearance of the ancient character.Located in the lower Yellow River, Shandong Province has advantages in location, history and culture. In Western Zhou Dynasty, Zhougong and Jiangshang were enfeoffed in two places named Qi and Lu, from where the prototype of Qi-lu Culture originates and spreads to surrounding areas. The fusion and mutual influence of the Qi and Lu cultural shaped the unique history and culture of Shandong Province. During Warring States period, the power of royal family declined, while the power of the Ducks and Princes expanded rapidly showing distinct regional characteristics. Qi turned out to be well matched with powerful oriental country like Qin and Chu, and formed a unique writing style of character.Depending on the archaeological excavation report, my paper is expected to focus on a comprehensive collection of excavated materials and do some further research on the basis of previous research to promote the study in philology and the ancient history and culture of Shandong Province.
