This is a translation report. In writing the report, the author takes a series texts about foreign affairs as corpus when she served as a volunteer and translator in CI-AUF. There are six kinds of articles:overview of CI-AUF, proposal for Confucius classroom, message, speech, a look back of CI-AUF and program of 5th anniversary celebration of CI-AUF, with about 15,000 Chinese characters in total. The translation tasks include both Chinese-English and English-Chinese translation. Some versions were published in the e-book of the special issue Blossoming in the Philippines. Others were kept in the university's data bank, providing the potential readers the paper or digital versions both in English and Chinese. This translation report firstly briefly introduces the task, the background, and the structure of the translation project. Secondly, the report introduces the translation process. Nowadays, the increasing foreign affairs of China increase the importance of the foreign affairs translation. Accordingly, the foreign affairs translators are badly needed. Therefore, even a translation of a single word may influence the policies, standpoint, reputation and economic benefit of the whole country. However, there are insufficient systematic introduction of foreign affairs translation. This thesis hopes to summarize the author's practice of foreign affairs translation along with some translation theories. The innovation of the thesis is not the theoretical one, but the original translation. The author hopes that she can know the foreign-affairs translation further by writing this translation report and contribute as much as she can to the foreign-affairs translation. In this report, the author learned the ropes of foreign affairs and their translations and used some particular translation skills to analyze some specific cases. The author analyzed these cases from lexical, syntactic and discourse aspects. In the analyzing process, the author improves her translation competence and learns lessons; meanwhile, the author finds her theoretic inadequate. Here are three lessons the author learned:one, preparation for translation is important; two, it's important to write down the important and difficult points during translation; three, translation practice cannot be done without translation theories.
