Since the motion quotient was put forward officially in 2012,it has been getting more and more attention from sports community and a large batch of scholars get engaged in it.The Preliminary Evaluation Scale of Motion Quotient for 5 or 6-year-old Children in this paper is one of the results of the “Innovation Project for Postgraduate Education in Jingsu Province”?project code: SJLX15₀470?undertaken by author.In accordance with the preliminary scale,the paper make an effort to construct a evaluation index system for 5or 6-year-old children,based on which a motion quotient measurement table of children at this age as well as the general model of Nanjing City are designed and developed.All these enrich the motion quotient theory and push its study from the qualitative research in perceptual knowledge to the quantitative and empirical research in rational knowledge.In the mean time,it plays a directive role in the motion quotient practice of children.The paper uses the method of document literature to comprehensively analyze the document literature of current motion quotient theory and related theories of emotional quotient and intelligence quotient,physical measurement and the metrology of children's motor development.These preliminary works provide the basic theory support for the founding of scale system.Through expert interviews and the method of Delphi,on the basis of the structure of the measurement and evaluation system of motion quotient for 5 or 6-year-old children and two rounds of expert questionnaire,the structure,index factors,weight and the comprehensive evaluation methods of children's motion quotient of this system are confirmed.And then the test indexes are further amended and optimized,scoring standard is determined and all the properties of the scale are examined scientifically through the methods of experiment testing and general statistics.The detailed study results are as follows:?1?Through the study of this paper,the structure,index and weight of the preliminary system of The Measurement and Evaluation Scale of Motion Quotient for 5 or 6-year-old Children.The scale includes 83 measurement indexes in total,which are divided into two first class dimensionalities,subjective assessment and objective measure,in accordance with different ways of measurement and evaluation.The second class dimensionalities of objective measure consist of three major subtests,morphology and capacity,sport quality and potential motion ability.The second class dimensionalities of subjective assessment consist of three evaluation questionnaires of psychological test of children's motion quotient,motion quotient test of families and schools.And the third class dimensionalities consist of morphology and capacity,sport quality and sport potential.Morphology and capacity is structured by BMI,a fourth class index.Sport quality is formed by 4 fourth class indexes,standing on one leg,straight arm hang,tests of turning over tins and grid jumping.Sport potential includes 6 action imitation and 10 tests of motion plasticity.?2?The objective test indexes of straight arm hang,standing on one leg and tests of turning over tins confirm to the physical and mental characteristics of 5 or 6-year-old children and also reflect well the development state of their motion quotient ability,with easy and standard operations.In the test of “curved arm hang,standing on one leg with eye closed and tests of choice reaction time”,the children show higher reliability and validity than the traditional level.In addition,the paper creatively changes the traditional hopscotch game to standard and measurable hopscotch test,which are a development and a positive innovation of traditional ethnic sports.?3?In term of the subjective evaluation,“the questionnaire of the psychological test of children's motion quotient” is a development of the preliminary study results of PhD.Cui Chengjun from the Research Center of Motion Quotient in Nanjing University of Science and Technology.“The questionnaire of campus motion quotient test” refers to the graduation thesis “the questionnaire of the sport environment quality test in kindergartens” of a master graduate Wangwen graduated from Zhejiang Normal University in 2014.“The questionnaire of family motion quotient” is the preliminary result of this paper and its indexes need to be verified through experiments.?4?On the basis of the structure and weight of The Measurement and Evaluation Scale of Motion Quotient for 5 or 6-year-old Children,subtests of all dimensionalities and indexes employ centesimal system and the scoring methods of it has been confirmed.In accordance with the test data,the scoring standard of objective tests is determined.Comprehensive evaluation of the scale uses centesimal system in weighed-intergradations,too.?5?Sample data of 240 children from 4 kindergartens in two district of Nanjing City was collected and normal standard of regional reference was established.?6?The Measurement and Evaluation Scale of Motion Quotient for 5 or 6-year-old Children was proved by scale reliability and validity and practice to be favorably reliable and efficient.It can give accurate assessment in term of 5 or 6-year-old children's motion quotient and can be a effective tool for measurement and evaluation.
