Teachers on middle and primary schools are the high incidence group of job burnout, one of the reasons might be that they serve multiple roles including job, family and life,or even more. The limitation of the psychological resources would lead to the conflicts of multiple roles, which would change the teachers' attitude towards some roles so that they cope with other resources and make up the loss of resources, which results in the generation of job burnout.Social support plays a positive role as a middle variable,by gaining higher social support, individuals could alleviate the negative influence caused by the role conflict or alleviate teachers' role conflict, individuals could also reduce the level of job burnout by getting access to more social support. To explore the relationships among role conflict, social support, job burnout on middle and primary school teachers,506 middle and primary school teachers were measured with The Rizzo Role Conflict Scale,The Social Support Rating Scale and The Maslach Burnout Rating Scale. The results are as follows:(1)The role conflict and job burnout of middle and primary school teachers were in the middle and above level, and the social support was in the middle level.(2)There were significant differences in the role conflict on middle and primary school teachers in "whether as a teacher in charge or not","whether to serve as administrative work or not" and "working hours ".(3)There were significant differences in the social support on middle and primary school teachers in "school nature","marital status","title" and "wage".(4)There were significant differences in the job burnout on middle and primary school teachers in "gender","school nature","marital status","children","education" and "professional title".(5)Middle and primary school teachers role conflict were significantly and positively correlated with job burnout, role conflict were significantly and negtively correlated with social support, social support were significantly and negtively correlated with job burnout.(6)Respectively,role conflict and social support could positively, negtively and significantly predict the job burnout.(7)Role conflict could not only exert effects on job burnout directly but also through social support, and there was a partly mediating effect of social support.
