With China’s increasingly strong political and economic strength in the world, the goal of building a maritime power and a seaborne power has been put forward.Seamen is the bearer of the maritime power dream. At present,There exist few research on physical and mental health, professional situation, and life of the seafarers engaged in ocean shipping work.Based on related theory and document research. The sailors have to work onboard and stay far away from home.Compared with other occupations, the conflict between work and family is more severe. These conflicts exert adverse effects on sailor’s physical and mental health and their occupation adaptation, resulting in the occupation burnout and the instability of their occupation.this study discusses the impact of work family conflict on occupation burnout by constructing a moderated mediation model, and analyses the function of occupation identity and social support, with seamen as research object and work family conflict, occupation burnout as a starting point. The study adopted the questionnaire method, selected 340 seafarers and 387 general staff as a contrast group. The main results are as follows:(1)There are significant differences in the working family conflict, job burnout, professional identity and social support in the group of seamen and the general staff.Regarding the four indicators, the group of general staff is better than the seamen.(2)No matter seafarers or general staff groups, work family conflict has a significant predictive effect on job burnout, and career identity plays a partial intermediary role.(3)Work family conflict is regulated by social support level through the second half of the mediating effect of the occupational identification on job burnout among seamen group, and a moderated mediator model is established. With the improvement of the level of social support, the level of influence of the work-family conflict on the occupation burnout is weakened by the mediating effect of occupational recognition. The research results verify the theoretical hypothesis, and reveal the mechanism of job identification and social support in the influence of work life conflict on job burnout, among seamen group.
