The intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan is an important part of the poetry of Tang dynasty.Though it has already been studied in academic circles, there's still room for further exploration.Based on the poetry ontology of the intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan, this study will widely collect relevant literature in order to make a textual research on the communication deeds between the Chinese and Japanese in Tang dynasty, and on the contrary,to investigate the achievement of these poems. The introduction part introduces the research significance, the research status and the innovation points of this paper. The first chapter discusses the intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan from QianTangShi's perspective, and this part is a reflection of the Japanese coming to Tang to communicate with the Chinese inititively. The second chapter discusses the intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan from the perspective of Jianzhen's going to Japan.and this part would be a comparison to the first chapter, for it's about the Chinese also going to Japan to communicate with the Japanese there at that time. The third chapter is about the intercourse poetry between the Chinese and the Japanese monks coming to Tang. This chapter is based on the former one,and still from the perspective of monks. However, the importance of this chapter lies in this:the monks are the main force in communications between Tang and Japan, and the intercourse poems written around them occupied the most biggest part of the intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan. So the fourth chapter highlights the Chinese's set of "Sending Monk ZuiCheng back to Japan"poems, and then investigate the creation of this set's origin, time, the author and some other related issues. On the basis of the contents of the first four chapters, the fifth chapter summarizes the characteristics of the intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan in Tang dynasty, and then analyzes the reason of its formation as a summary of the phenomenon of intercourse poetry between Tang and Japan.
