In contemporary literature research,the short-lived "Three theories"(system theory,information theory,cybernetics)seems to have been buried in the pile of paper.This paper attempts to return to the literary scene of the 1980s,sort out the "three theories" of the ins and outs,and reveal the hidden historical secrets behind "three theory".The first chapter focuses on the "Xiamen Conference".In the first section,we demonstrate the discussion of "three theories" in the late 1970s and early 1980s by combing the relevant publications and symposiums.The second section introduces the"Xiamen Conference" in detail including the background of the conference and we will discuss "Whether literary research can introduce the natural science methodology",which is the core issue of Xiamen Conference.The third section is about the follow-up impact of the" Xiamen Conference".The second chapter retrospectively sketches the historical pedigree the "three theories" entering into literary studies.The first section briefly introduces the rise of"three theories" in the West and its connotation and the process of "Three theories"entering into China as well as being applied to literary research.The second section concretely presents how "three theories" are used in literary research through the analysis of the works of Zhang Shijun,Lin Xingzhai and Huang Haicheng and so on.The third chapter discusses the historical motive of "Three theories" entering into literature research.The first section interprets the phenomenon of "Three theories"entering into the literature research from the aspect of new and old paradigm changes.The second section points out that the strong scientific discourse is the external power of the "Three theories" entering into the literature research,and this strong scientific discourse is filled with scientific ideology.
