Television documentary as an album which has influence on literature record for a society and an era,and irreplaceable understanding education function for society.Television documentary also carries on an important mission to improving soft power of national culture and spreading cross-cultural communication.A television documentary – ?A Bite of China? broadcasted on May,2012 which caused widespread praise and enthusiastic responses in all social circles and considered as a symbol that documentary to return to public view." Not only creates the highest audience rating,but also brings heated discussion on society about beauty,folk,cultural identity,and so on.This paper takes ?A Bite of China? as an example,analyzes the problems exists in our current television documentary and explores the successful reason of ?A Bite of China?,and providing a feasible strategy to our country's television documentary creation in the future.This paper through a large number of literature reading and TV documentary practical view,as the television documentary research is the reach object.According to "the tip of the tongue of China" the successful example in the television documentary creation to make detailed discusses about essential connotation of television documentaries and development strategy of television documentary creation in a market-oriented environment.Firstly,this paper analyses the topic's research background,research status,research purpose and meaning through the relative data and proposes the research object-television documentary and makes a basic explain about the value and significance of research on television documentary creation strategy.Secondly,this paper starts from two aspects which the concept of television documentary and its current situation to explain the basic content of the research object,and due to this to explore the problems existing in the Chinese television documentary creation.Again,this paper mainly uses unique creation view and fearless creation mode and brand building.All three points made a deep analysis by examples of television documentary,a special model-"A Bite of China" which adapts market creation strategy.Finally,putting the theoretical research into the market environment,combined with the actual situation and the specific case,and proposing suggestion about television documentary creation in market environment.When television industry has entered the brand today,the television documentary is not only the works of art,but also cultural products.If it wants to make a breakthrough and attention,and survives in the fierce market pattern,that must based on audience's demand,new creation,as market environment be the guide,building a television documentary brand development strategy.
