A Study On The Change Of Marriage Ceremony In Rural Areas Under Rural Public Opinion

Marriage is one of the most important events in the national life. The marriage ceremony is a special cultural carrier, which is closely related to people's thoughts and values. Therefore, this paper chooses the marriage ceremony as the research object,revealing the change of rural culture and the value by analyzing the two period marriage ceremony in N village.From the perspective of communication, this paper uses the new perspective of rural public opinion to study the marriage ceremony of the rural areas of Han nationality and explore how the rural public opinion as one of the most important endogenous norms in the village affect marriage ceremony.After the reform and opening up, the marriage ceremony of N village changed greatly, mainly reflected in the normalization of early marriage phenomenon, the marriage circle continued to expand, the increase of marriage destruction and repentance,the woman's asking price ability rising in the marriage market,the rising cost of marriage.Through the study I find that rural public opinion mainly through praise,humiliation,rumors,jingle and other forms to affect the villagers. Rural public opinion plays an important role in the matchmaking, bride price, wedding ceremony changes during the N village marriage ceremony change. The grim marriage situation in the current rural areas, making more and more families to break through the shackles of rural public opinion to destroy other people's marriage. Rural public opinion praised the high bride price and big show, to further push the high cost of marriage N village,adding to the burden of the villagers. Rural public opinion's silence on the issue of unmarried first pregnancy, marriage destruction and repentance, leading more villagers have the courage to do contrary to the traditional moral things.The emergence and popularity of new media, breaking the barriers of time and space, expanding the space of rural public opinion, making it break the physical boundaries of the village, also changed its original mode of transmission, forming an"air community" between the village and work places. Rural public opinion will not disappear in the future as long as the village does not disappear.Rural public opinion as one of the most important endogenous norms in the village plays more and more negative role in the current rural marriage ceremony. To guide the healthy development of marriage ceremony and improve the current marital dilemma in rural areas, government, villages, individuals need to work together to re-play the positive role of rural public opinion.
