Fu Shan is a calligrapher at the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty,he is at the same time an outstanding theorist. The "Four Dos and Four Don'ts" theory he proposed exerted huge influence on modern calligraphy.Meanwhile,he is an excellent thinker, his ideas are not limited to the theories of calligraphy, philosphoically and aesthetically they have unique values.Due to the identity of Fushan as a citizen left by Ming Dynasty, his academic achievements were not given due attention in Qing Dynasty, due to the scattering literature in modern society, essays researching Fushan focused on calligraphy and art history, essays on the academic ideas of Fu Shan are few and far between.Fu Shan is talented and erudite,he is highly productive while forming his own system of thoughts. The thesis starts with the traditional aesthetic concept of "God's design",and read the academic thoughts of Fu Shan."God's design" is an important realm in Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, and theoriests of various generations have paid great attention to it.Fu Shan never failed to refer to the concept of "God's design" in his calligraphic theories of official script in Han Dynasty and poetic creation.Gu Yanwu also priased him as "untrammeled by worldly affairs and endowed with God's design".It is only fair to say that the concept of "God's design" bears tremendous significance and value on the conceptional system of Fu Shan himself. The thesis sorts out the academic ideas of Fu Shan systematically from four aspects of the expression of the views of God's design, the meaning of"God's design",the theoretical origin of Fu Shan's academic ideas and the value of "God's design" in the modern society.Take the calligraphic theories and poetic theories of Fu Shan as an introduction, and analyze the value of "God's design" in the book and poem theories of Fu Shan.Generalize the concept of the value of "God's design" of Fu Shan from three clues of aritistic creation, creation objective and the manners of artists. We can find out that the value of "God's design" is not limited to the level of art,but runs through the overall attitude of Fu Shan in treating people and learning.Afterwards by combining the academic background of the beginning of Qing Dynasty, try to understand the theoretical origin of the academic ideas of Fu Shan, before finally returning to the calligraphy itself and thinking about the value of calligraphy in modern society. The value of "God's design" has existed since the ancient times.Different times and scholars used to endow it with different conceptions. As a traditional calligraphic theorist, most of the ideas of Fu Shan were given the value of calligraphic value. However, many theories of Fu Shan have aesthetic value to a great extent. As a researcher, combining the traditional view of "God's design" and Fu Shan's ideas is a brand new perspective as well as an opportunity to discover the value of the academic ideas of Fu Shan.
