An Investigation On The Performance Of Street Music In Ersha Island Of Guangzhou

Street music is a kind of social phenomenon which is full of unique personality and connotation.And because of its undeniable grass-roots,civilian's features,it makes this kind of music phenomenon become a society,a culture,which can vividly express the spirit of the people in a particular period.Ersha Island is located in Yuexiu District of Guangzhou.In recent years,more and more street artists choose to have performances on Ersha Island,which becomes particular cultural scenery.This kind of street music is absolutely not an accident event;it exerts a certain effect on the present urban culture in Guangzhou.The present article has made a investigation on the phenomenon of street music performance in Ersha Island,in order to answer the following questions: 1,the present situation of Guangzhou Ersha Island street music;2,the impact on the current urban culture in Guangzhou and cultural characteristics exerted by the street music;3,the performances of Guangzhou street music influenced by the globalization;4,the challenge of globalization for Guangzhou street music performance.Through the investigation,we can find that: Firstly,impacted by the global culture,pop music is particularly valued in the streets of Ersha Island,pop music accounted for the dominant position in Guangzhou street music.Secondly,because of the effect of Cantonese environment,the aesthetic orientation of street music has focused on Cantonese songs in Guangzhou,and among that Cantonese pop music is the most popular.However,the traditional folk music culture gradually disappears in the process of the era.The development of tradition and popular has lead to the imbalanced phenomenon in the street music.Influenced by the globalization,"Cantonese taste" of Guangzhou Street music is gradually disappearing.The street music phenomenon in Ersha Island is just a microcosm of street music in Guangzhou,but it reflects the current situation of urban culture in Guangzhou.Nowadays,city culture construction is being paid more and more attentions;we must firmly master the traditional culture of development and protection,so that we can construct the Guangdong culture with "Cantonese taste".
