An Analysis Of The Animation Image Evolution And Value Expression Of Monkey King

As the core hero image of traditional magic genre,the image of Monkey King has a profound mass foundation.There have been many films related to Monkey King in recent years,showing people's favor for Monkey King.However,in contrast with the live-action movie upsurge,it is difficult for the animated films to find the real balance between traditional culture and modern culture,although the most classic image of Monkey King appeared in the animated film “Havoc in Heaven”.The exploration of domestic animation is still on the way.In this thesis,the origin,characteristics and evolution of Monkey King are studied,taking the important animated films associated with Monkey King as examples.The samples includes 5animated films,such as "Princess Iron Fan" which is the first animated film in China and those can reflect the characteristics of different times.The author tries to find the memes framework and multiple factors and conclude the restricting factors of the image of Monkey King in the inheritance and innovation.As part of the modernization cultural response,the domestic animation,represented by Monkey King,must be faced with the problems in the modernization process.It is necessary to explore the new balance between native culture and foreign culture,between the joint encoding of different character.These problems lead to puerility,deficiency of cultural value and poor narrative ability in domestic animation.In this thesis,the author studies the Marvel superheroes movies to sum up experience for reference.Marvel's success is due to the implant of American spirits,the construction of hero spectrum,the image creation of anti-heroes and the concern on reality.The author tries to look for the new balance between image creation and value expression.
