Research On The Image Of Monkey King In Chinese Animation Works

Monkey King is a classic mythical hero in the eyes of countless people.He is the symbol of brave and resourceful.With the development of technology,the image of Monkey King has been put on the screen more than once,and has become the most photographed screen image.Generations of creators use the emerging technology to show this great character in their mind on the screen.The understanding and interpretation of the image of Monkey King by creators in different periods are necessarily different,especially since the new century,the image of Monkey King has new characteristics.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the image of Monkey King created in the classic animation works,to understand the implication behind the image of Monkey King,to observe the development of China's animation industry,and to put forward some suggestions.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part traces back the changes of Monkey King's literary image,which paves the way for the later analysis of Monkey King's image on screen.The second part analyzes the image of Monkey King with the several most classic animation works "Princess Iron Fan "Havoc in Heaven",TV animation "Journey to the West" and "Monkey King:Hero Is Back",and classifies and analyzes the implication of Monkey King in the classic works.The third part summarizes the writing trend of the image of Monkey King on the basis of the previous article.As a hero who wants to advocate the people to win victory in the War of Resistance against Japan,Monkey King is endowed with absolute God characteristics.From the 1980s to the end of the last century,influenced by foreign TV animation,the image of Monkey King in this period began to step down from the altar,highlighting the characteristics of human beings,and appeared as the image of the lovely children.After entering the new century,the image of Monkey King has an obvious Hollywood narrative style,and begins to write the theme of character growth and redemption.The fourth part discusses the reasons why the image of Monkey King can change in animation works from five aspects.The charm of the classic image of Monkey King is the source that the creator can bring it to the screen again and again.Secondly,different images of Monkey King also rely on the changes of the times and social background.Thirdly,the innovation of animation technology brings new opportunities for the presentation of the image of Monkey King.Fourthly,the changes of the public aesthetic are also clearly reflected in the shaping of the image of Monkey King.Finally,due to the interaction of the global animation market,the domestic creators see how to interpret the traditional theme in the new way,and bring new ideas for the domestic animation.In the fifth part,based on the above article,the author looks at the development of animation industry in China and puts forward some suggestions.
