The "Strange" Monkey King: A Study On Film Adaptation Of Classical Literary Images

Monkey King,a mythical image of folk fiction,has long been known in our country.In the famous literary works,Monkey King has the characteristics of human nature,monkey nature,di-vinity and demonity.He is a model of heroism.Since the new period,the image of Monkey King in the film works emerge in endlessly,different writers have created a great difference in the im-age of Monkey King.Among the many film and television works,the most representative and authoritative is the Liuxiaolingtong version of Monkey King.In 1986,the version of Monkey King formally appeared on the screen.After more than 30 years of great prosperity,it became a generation of classics in the audience's mind.People used to use Liuxiaolingtong's version of Monkey King as a yardstick.The evaluation of the "West Tour" theme movie and TV play is also compared with the CCTV version of journey to the West.In view of this,this paper,in order to study the image of Monkey King's screen in the new period,first analyzes the image characteristics and the classic status of Liuxiaolingtong version of Monkey King."Defamiliarization" as the main theoretical basis,from three aspects of appearance,language,behavior,since 1980s(as of September 2017)the image of Monkey King movie,such as "journey to the West and drop the article","journey to the west of the heaven","journey to the west",,"west of the great return to three playing Baigujing","Wu kongzhuan",compared with the Liuxiaolingtong version of the image of Monkey King,explore the new period film is how to subvert and reshape the image of the classic.The second chapter,according to the results of the previous analysis,summarizes the characteristics of Monkey King's image of the times.The thirdchapter,starting with the internal and external factors,analyzes the reasons why Monkey King's image has been adapted so frequently and has various styles.The last chapter has been adapted from the image of Monkey King to the film adaptation of classical literature.In view of the shortcomings in the film adaptation at the present stage,some suggestions for improvement are put forwardMovie art needs to absorb the brilliant essence of national culture to classical literary works.With the continuous occurrence of new things,the ancient literature that is dying away gradually needs new media to inject new blood into itself,and cultivate new audiences for masterpieces.As a classic literary novel,the journey to the West provides a rich story for the creation of the film.Through art re creation,a number of excellent films have appeared.With the prosperity of China's film market and the development of film and television media technology,the adaptation of fa-mous literary works has become an irreversible trend.Through movie reshaping,on the one hand,we can popularize literary masterpieces and spread the excellent culture of the Chinese nation;on the other hand,we can stabilize the box office and improve the artistry of the movie.In this con-text,taking the movie adaptation of Monkey King's image as an example,this paper analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and problems of westbound movie adaptation,mapping the current situation of movie adaptation in China's literature,and putting forward strategies.
