Study On Habermas' Theory Of Norms

Juergen Habermas is the representative of Frankfurt School. Habermas uses his Normative Theory to make his philosophy theory system as a whole. This paper conducts the research from the six aspects, namely, the key concepts of Habermas, the content of Habermas' Normative Theory, the research methodology of Habermas' Normative Theory, and the effects of Habermas' Normative Theory, the difficulties of Habermas' Normative Theory, and the evaluation of Habermas'Normative Theory.The key concepts of Habermas' Normative Theory include gauge concept, life world concept and intersubjectivity concept. These concepts are the premise to understand Habermas' Normative Theory. The content of Juergen Habermas' Normative Theory is in the dominant position of his Normative Theory system, including moral standard and legal standard. He analyzed the differences and connections of moral standard and legal standard. He thought that moral standard and legal standard are the main strength for social integration, and the main body of social integration relies on legal standard. Universal pragmatics is the methodological basis for Habermas' Normative Theory. He argued that the choice of scientific research method attains the result with half effort. The theory of communicative action is the application of Habermas'Normative Theory. Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. Habermas' Normative Theory needs to be tested in practice. Habermas' Normative Theory suffers the difficulties in the practical process. He analyzed the reasons for the difficulties that Habermas' Normative Theory faced, difficulties that living world colonization brings to Normative Theory, and the ways for it to get out of difficulties. Habermas' Normative Theory is the inheritance and development of Marxist Theory. Through the comparative analysis of Marxist Theory and Habermas' Normative Theory, the author thinks that Habermas' Normative Theory is a kind of discourse practice, and the practice does not only means labor practice. With the development of social history, discourse practice has become the body of practice. For the reconstruction of historical materialism by Habermas, he thought class struggle had not been the theme of era development, and Marx's historical materialism should follow the change of era to have new supplement.The research on Habermas' Normative Theory has important significance and value. First of all, the reconstruction of historical materialism by Habermas makes Marxist Theory with new theory core. Habermas' Normative Theory enriches and expands the human's ideal theory treasure. Secondly, we can conclude the experience and lessons of reference significance to construct China to be the Chinese characteristic socialism country in the process of studying Habermas' Normative Theory.
