Xiqing Random Prose was wrote by Shi Zhenlin during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng and Qianlong. Set against the backdrop of his travelling study life,Shi Zhenlin wrote many essays according to his experience with the time as main line. He integrated the underclass of people and their poems and deeds into a book.Chapter 1 of this article summarizes the diffrent versions of Xiqing Random Prose in nearly three hundred years and divides them into four parts as follows:collection of essays, four-volume, eight-volume and abridged edition.And then the article demonstrates that the eight-volume is not wrote by Shi Zhenlin.The second chapter is the literary form research of Xiqing Random Prose. It demonstrates the literary style from two perspectives about content and form,and comes up the idea that the form of essays is the Random Prose. Furthermore,this part proposes the method of composing an essay by Shi Zhenlin.The third chapter is a research on Shi Zhenlin's places for reading and social intercourse.The chapter four is the consideration for the poor who kept company with Shi Zhenlin during the reign of Yongzheng.The chapter five is about writing the chronological life of Shi Zhenlin's large circle of friends.The sixth chapter is trying to make a simple investigation of Shuangqing's age,last name and native place.The seventh chapter is the appendixes.This part is the compiling and editing the scattering poetic prose of Shi Zhenlin.The eighth chapter is the conclusion part.
