"Letter from Thailand",a novel written by the famous Botan,is a reflection of the conflict between different cultures,such as the way of thinking or the traditional value system of the Thai Chinese.For example,valuing males and belittling females,patriarchy,prejudice against Thai people by theThai Chinese.In this novel's conflict between Thai Chinese and Thailand people,the author tries to accept and identify solutions.Over time,the traditions of the two cultures became incorporated,which made the traditional Chinese beliefs even less influential or almost insignificant,as the new culture has penetrated throughout the society.Although some new things with their own imagination are not the same,but they are helpful to the existence and development of the society.The following paper could thus help the reader to better understand the Thai Chinese descendants,their traditional beliefs,the transformation of culture and the way of life,which has been influenced by the coexistence of Thai and Chinese culture,their mutual tolerance and friendship.Moreover,it could also help to imitate and preserve the style of the literature related to the life of the Thai Chinese by enriching the literature concerning the traditional Chinese views.
