The Confrontation And Reconciliation-A Research On The Narrative Of Guan Hu's Movies

This paper tries to discuss and study the narrative of Guan Hu'movies from the perspective of "the confrontation and reconciliation" under the framework of "The sixth generation of Chinese director".By analyzing the narrative structure about "the confrontation and reconciliation" presented by the social environment Guan Hu has lived and the narrative characteristics of his movies together,we can put forward such a conclusion:With the incorporation came from the power of politics and business,the pioneering spirit and confrontation consciousness of Guan Hu have came to an end gradually.The first chapter of this paper analyzes the social environment Guan Hu has lived,finds out the reasons of his confrontation consciousness,and provides the foundation of his transfering from his original attitude of pioneering spirit to the"special quality commercial road".The second chapter studys the confrontation structure of director Guan Hu's movies through analyzing the film text itself:As an individual and also the main confrontational entity,it starts the confrontation from rock music,sex,love and dreams,but ends with tragedies,thus reflects a powerless of escaping.The third chapter discusses the transfering process from the pioneering aspirit to reconciliation,from the youth narrative to the historical narrative.And among this,it shows up a language feature of metaphor and carnival.
