The Controversy On New Or Former Among Neoteric Marginal Intellectuals In The Preceding Period Of The Twenty Century

The controversy on new or former in modern China is which usually means the conflict between the Chinese tradition and new things,such as culture,technology,ideology and implements,came from the West.The controversy on new or former is permeated with modern Chinese society.This paper tries to pay attention on the controversy on new or former in modern China and discuss the influence of its secondary problem on the development of neoteric academia.The secondary problem is that some participants in the conflict,especially the marginal intellectuals,regard the conflict as the chances to get some benefits.This is the result of the controversy on new or former.The paper have three parts.In part one,the reason and the target of the selection of topic is documented.The significance and the point-cut of the selection of topic is defined.There is also a review of history of learning.In part two,the expression of the marginal intellectuals in the controversy on new or former is investigated.The reason of the controversy and the effect on the controversy is discussed.In this part,the paper shows that the controversy on new or former has some change that make influence to neoteric academia.In part three,the paper discusses the problem of the controversy in macrographs.The paper observes and studies the problem in three dimensions,by which can sum up the significance of the secondary problem of the controversy on new or former in history of learning.
