Agricultural heritage is a new kind of heritage in the future. As boom of GIAHS(Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System),most of countries in the word including China conform to the trend of mining agricultural heritage resources.Particularly, the National Agricultural Heritage Census will begin soon as the file No.1 carried out. This article summarizes the domestic and foreign current research situation about agricultural heritage, founding that the current research mainly focus on the concept, characteristics, value, development patterns, etc.but less on its spatial distribution and investigation division. Not only is it of great importance to filling the blank of current research to rich basic theory, but also providing theoretical support for further agricultural heritage investigation.Taking 62 National Important Agricultural Heritage System for example, this article applies statistical analysis, spatial analysis, visualization analysis and clustering analysis to analyze its spatial distribution characteristics and influencing factors based on information collected by literature survey and Internet engines. The result shows that the spatial distribution is gathering type as a whole with cluster form in some local region. It is respectively the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Southeast coastal areas,Longnan region and the Three parallel rivers region, especially the first two regions.Besides,it is high degree of concentration on the Three Terrain Ladders but low degree on the Three Economic Regions. From the point view of provincial scale,it is not only low degree of concentration but also uneven and big different about its provincial distribution density. This paper analyzes the influencing factors of the spatial distribution of NIAHS by means of qualitative and quantitative methods, and then extracts the main factors of cultivating agricultural heritage. These factors can be divided into two categories. The first is the formation of factors including topography, climate types, ecosystems and other natural factors, agricultural development history, population and ethnic composition of social and historical factors. The second category is the impact of agricultural heritage Identified factors, including the policy environment and the level of economic development. In the many factors of nurturing agricultural heritage, five evaluation factors were analyzed and selected according to the availability and completeness of the data to evaluate the potential distribution of agricultural heritage resources by factor superposition method.According to the evaluation results, agricultural heritage resources can be divided into three different survey levels. The first level is the focus of the survey area, mainly in the eastern coastal areas of China, the central and southwestern parts of the region, covering 15 provinces.Namely,Heilongjiang,Jilin,Liaoning,Hebei,Zhejiang,Jiangsu,Fujian,Gansu,Hubei,Hunan,Guangxi,Yunnan,Jiangxi,Shandong and Sichuan. The second is a relatively important survey area, mainly distributed in 13 provinces including Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai,Guangdong,Taiwan,Shaanxi,Shanxi,Chongqing,Guizhou,Anhui,Henan,Ningxia and Xinjiang.Class three is a general survey area, mainly in Hainan,Qinghai,Tibet,Inner Mongolia,Hong Kong and Macao.
