The ancient Zhang zhung Kingdom civilization has already disappeared been a long time,and as its legendary capital "The Silver Castle of Khyung lung" is full of mystery,in particular has been hotly debated by the academic circles.This paper is based on the archaeological survey of "Khyung lung site",throughthe data of carding and research,provide some reference for the discussion of related problems.In this paper,from the angle of Khyung lung site as a starting point,and then extended to the Sutlej River Basin,and then rise to the Himalaya area,including with the method of settlement archaeology theory to do some basic research by the foundation of the archaeological data,and some comparative research on the archaeological data interpretation studies,as well as with cultural ecology perspective to discuss the special cultural phenomenon,such several aspects.In basic research,the caves class remains as the main body,to determine the scientific classification,function,and combination relations research,moreover also within the site on other sites comprehensive analysis,and then discusses the site basic scale,site type,stage of development,geographical layout and the basic problems such as functional partition.In interpretation study,not only focus on burial site surrounding areas,paintings and subtle relationship between the ancient site itself,in addition,combining with the relevant sites like Sutlej River Basin such as Mkhar gdong site and Tsaparang Site,to Khyung lung site as the main body,make important aspects of the comparative study,for the site to provide accurate positioning of space and time.Finally,realize the Khyung lung site have not only as the capital of zhang zhung country named "The Silver Castle of Khyung lung",and in the caves relics as the main body of the architectural form with a strong regional features,and two-way interactive environment to produce a unique cultural patterns in the Himalayan region.
