| Under China's strategic policy “Going Global” and “the Belt and Road” initiative,deeper and broader international cooperation modes are explored and developed by Chinese institutional and business organizations on various fields like construction,commerce and education etc.Furthermore,the launching of Agricultural Modernization as a major initiative,which closely follows to the latest guideline initiated under the 13 th Five-Year Plan,also plays an important role in improving level and grade of agriculture industry.Therefore,as a traditional field vitally connected with people's well being,agriculture's globalization and modernization are booming and flourishing significantly in recent years.Accordingly,the need of translation on text related to agriculture industry is also increasing fast.The E-C translation of Fiji 2020 Agriculture Sector Policy Agenda is one of examples dealing with agricultural text.As a translation practice report,this essay,based on principles “faithfulness” and “smoothness”,with the analysis on course of preparation,transferring,editing and evaluation,aims to explore and search for possible and proper ways and approaches against the difficulties caused by the unique features of the source text.The problems and difficulties found during the course of translation are as follows: the logic confusion caused by complex sentence,translationese caused by over-sticking to original text and obstacles caused by special terms etc.Coping with the said problems or difficulties,based on relevant theories,the author discussed and explained relevant countermeasures and solutions in this essay.Hopefully,it could provide certain references as parallel text for similar task and assist relevant works,especially the great undertaking of “Agricultural Modernization”. |
