With the close economic and trade exchanges in the world, the suspicious transactions characterized by money laundering and financing of terrorism have frequently occurred in the international business, which seriously affects the economic security of all countries. Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct more researches on the translation of such text to reduce the illegal phenomena in the international communication.Suspending Suspicious Transactions is a report on the basis of the practical business handled by the staff of the World Bank.In the process of translating the source text, the author finds that the skopos theory and its three principles conform to the E-C translation of the source text. After studying the theory systematically and comprehensively, the author chooses it as guiding theory when translating the source text into Chinese. This translation report is based on the translation practice of Suspending Suspicious Transactions, and pays more attention to analyzing some translation solutions of words and sentences. There are quite a lot of proper nouns and terminologies, transformation of parts of speech, polysemy, long sentences and passive sentences.Due to these features, under the guidance of skopos theory,as for proper nouns and terminologies, the author obeys three principles and refers to specialized dictionaries, searches Baidu Baike, follows customary usage etc..When dealing with the transformation of parts of speech, the author mainly uses three translation techniques,i.e.,nouns are converted into verbs, adjectives into adverbs, prepositions into verbs. As for polysemy, the author selects the proper meaning of a word in the context. When translating passive sentences into Chinese, the author divides them into three categories,i.e.,some passive sentences are directly translated into active sentences, some are reflected by passive meaning of words, some subject clauses led by "it" are translated into sentences with no subject. As for long sentences, according to the different features of sentences, the author adopts syntactic linearity, inversion and division respectively. Thus, through application of these translation solutions, the original meaning can be conveyed faithfully and accord with the expressions of the target language. Moreover, the quality of the translation text can be greatly improved.
