A Report On The Translation Animal Abuse-Helping Animals And People(Chapter 1,2,3,6)

This report is written based on the translation of four chapters in the book Animal Abuse-Helping Animals and People,which focus on animal abuse and cruelty.The purpose of this book is to help readers better understand and support the animals and people who experience the trauma of abuse and will provide guidance to those who care for them.The report consists of four parts.The first part is the introduction of the translation task,including a brief introduction of the author of the book,the social value of the text,and the source of the text.The second part describes the process of translation.The third and the most important part of the report are how the difficult words and sentences chosen from the four chapters were analyzed and translated by applying appropriate translation skills.The last part is a summary of the translating experience,including the reflection,suggestions and outlooks.To the author,the report is not only summarizes previous translation work but also shows the author's progression in the understanding of translation.As a translator,apart from mastering two different languages,it is also necessary to acquire the background and professional knowledge of the material.Translation is not only involves the conversion between two languages but requires rich knowledge.
