The Critical Theory Of Mass Media In Frankfurt School And Its Implications For Chinese Media Construction

Capitalist country of highly developed modern industrial civilization,to make people's lives have undergone tremendous changes,Machine production instead of manual labor,the growth of leisure time brings the development of entertainment industry,the changes of the commercialization brought a variety of consumer goods......In short,the economic development has greatly changed the way of people live,to meet the diverse needs of people.Western Marx doctrine scholars see the hypocrisy of flourishing is that state control of the people's Ideology,the so-called "demand","freedom","happiness" is the illusion of the capitalists,the aim is to establish the submissive society,and meet the interests of the bourgeoisie.The Frankfurt School as a genre of one of the most influential schools of Western Marx doctrine,is aware of the importance of the mass media for the ideology control of capitalists,thus breaking the other Marx doctrine from the economic and political aspects of the capitalist society castigate,targeting the field of mass media,pointing to the subtlety of mass culture.Although the criticism theory of Frankfurt School's mass media has its own limitations,it is not consistent with our national conditions,but it has certain reference to our country in the perspective of media development.At present,the market economy of our country has further development,the economic structure has further improvement,the pace of industrialization of mass media is further accelerating,the imbalance between the commercial and social benefits of mass media has become more and more serious.This paper aims to solve the problems of Chinese media construction by summarizing the theory and combining with the reality of our country.This paper introduces the basis and significance of the topic,research status at home and abroad,research content and innovation,research methods and techniques,then,in the three chapters of the paper,the author outlined the background and the specific content of the theory,the thesis further analyzes the positive results and existing difficulties of the theory,and combined with the present situation and problems of Chinese media,drawing lessons from critical theories of mass media value in rational and dialectical way,so as to reflect Chinese media construction way.The first chapter systematically introduced the Frankfurt School's critical theories of mass media,first introduced the realistic background of the theory of German Fascism,American consumerism and other theoretical basis,historical evolution of critical theories of mass media,and then systematically introduced the main contents of the theory.The theory analyzes the ideological function of communication media,vulgarization of mass culture,and the audience has become a "one dimensional man" under the influence of the media from three aspects of communication media,communication content,and communication audience.After explaining the basic content of the theory,the second chapter clarified the achievements and difficulties of the theory,which saw its important status in the history of the development of media criticism,the development and enrichment of Marx's theory,and the influence of cultural construction,and pointed out its theoretical limitations due to extreme negation,and out of the practice formation,and strived to achieve a comprehensive and proper analysis,arouse people's deep thinking and interpretation of the theory.Based on further analysis of the theory,the third chapter elaborated the present situation and main problems of Chinese media,and the Enlightenment of Frankfurt School mass media critical theory to the media construction in China.Especially when it comes to the impact of mass media on people and culture,as well as some problems brought about by the convenience of the Internet in the background of the new media and the development of media group.At the same time,the article combined the latest hot issues.In the path of enlightenment,it is explained from the subject aspect included communication main body and audience,heteronomy include perfection of the system,Strengthening education,and the purification of media culture.The Frankfurt School inherited Marx's critical spirit,and criticized the developed modern industrial civilization society,The humanistic care and the value of rational it showed make it has a profound theoretical value.Dialectically absorbed the essence of media criticism theory,is not only beneficial to improve the level of Chinese media theory,but also to improve the ability of Chinese media construction,and also promote the healthy development of the society.
