587 high school students in Feicheng City of Shandong Province were s ampled by using literature analysis and questionnaire survey,combined with strat ified sampling and whole sampling.Self-esteem Scale(SES),Achievement Motiva tion Scale and Middle School Students Learning Burnout Inventory were used t o investigate the self-esteem,achievement motivation and learning burnout of h igh school students while three variable relationships were also studied.Thedata of the survey were analyzed by SPSS19.0.The results show:(1)The high school students' self-esteem was abovethe middle level.The self-esteem of senior high school students was significantly different in the class category variables,and the self-esteem level of the students in the key classes was significantly higher than that in the ordinary classes.(2)The level of achievement motivation of middle school students was above the middle level.There were significant differences in gender variables between male and female students,the motivation of success was significantly higher than that of female students;there was also significant difference in grade variables,the motive of pursuing success in the first year was significantly higher than that in the second and third year.The achievement motive of high school students was significantly different in whether there was only one child,and the motive of non-only child achievement was significantly higher than that of the only child.(3)The high school students' learning burnout was at the middle level.There were significant difference in learning variables of high school students' learning burnout,boys' learning burnout was significantly higher than girls';there were significant differences in the class category variables,learning class burnout was significantly higher than the focus classes;There were significant differences in the grade variables,the learning burnout of Grade 2 and Grade 3 was significantly higher than Grade 1.(4)There was a significant negative correlation between high school students' self-esteem and learning inefficiency.The higher the level of self-esteem,the lower the learning inefficiency.(5)There was a significant negative correlation between high school students' pursuit of success motivation and learning burnout.The higher the level of success motivation,the lower the level of learning burnout.There was significant positive correlation between avoidance motivation and learning burnout,The higher the level of motivation to avoid failure,the higher the level of learning burnout.(6)Self-esteem of high school students has a significant negative predictive effect on learning inefficiency.The motivation of high school students to pursue success has a significant negative predictive effect on learning burnout;to avoid failure motivation has a significant positive predictive effect on learning burnout.Conclusion: The high school students' learning burnout was on the middle leve,and the students with high self-esteem have lower learning inefficiency.And the motivation of success has a significant negative predictive effect on learning burnout.
