The Study Of The Phenomenon Of Neologism In Chinese New Words From 2006 To 2015

Neologism as a special language phenomenon,has been attended and studied all the time especially with the deepening and refinement of the study of new words.The definition of Neologism and whether it belongs to a new term has became one of the focuses of the current language researchers.In this regard,we think we should take the new meaning of old words into the scope of Chinese new words and then definite and discuss it more accurately.At the same time we already selected 133 new words as the research objects from "Chinese New Words" series of dictionaries(the ten dictionaries published from 2006 to 2015),which are planned by the Information Management Department of the Ministry of Education,the report of "China Language Life Report" and the seventh edition of "Modern Chinese Dictionary",to further explore the linguistic features of this special language using phenomenon and also using the relevant linguistic theory to explore the ways about how old worlds generating different meanings and the internal and external reasons.The purposes of these kind of explorations are bent on enriching the phenomenon of neologism and also to promote the systematic and specialization of the study of Chinese new words.The whole text is divided into four chapters.The introduction part is to comb the achievements of the philosophers' research,and absorb relevant knowledge from the research results,on the basis of that to find out what the predecessors have not studied and some deficiencies about their studies and then go a step further to excavate new contents and put forward ours own research views.The first chapter is about the definition of "new meaning of old words" and the discussion of its related issues which includes the discussion of the new meaning of the old words and how to distinguish three similar concepts including "old words new meaning","the same word" and "vocabulary return to the ancestors" and figure out their relationships in order to lay a solid foundation for this research.The second chapter is the statistical study of neology that from "Chinese New Words".This chapter includes seven parts,the first part:we establish Neology corpus and understand Neology from 2006-2015 each year in the new words through the investigation of corpus.This purpose is to explore the linguistic features of neology;the second part: we explore the old words with new meaning from the two perspectives of cognitive linguistics and traditional linguistics.We think that the inherent words produce new meanings and new usage mainly through metaphor,metonymy,homophonic,literal interpretation or foreign words and other means;the third part:The use of survey neologisms based on corpus.Using the search function of People's daily newspapers in the use of People.com.cn,we use 133 Neological for statistical analysis,and observe the new meaning and usage characteristics in the text from the diachronic perspective;the fourth part: Exploring the characteristics of the new meaning of the old words,namely derivative,coexistence,contingency and rhetoric;the fifth part:elaborating the causation and evolution of Neology,which can be classified into three aspects: social reasons,psychological reasons and linguistic reasons;the sixth part: the meaning of the new meaning of the old words,it has some influence on Chinese vocabulary system,and it promotes the improvement of dictionary compilation work;the seventh part: the specification and prediction of the phenomenon of "new words".We think that vocabulary is a reflection of the social appearance of the "mirror",and if you want to keep this "mirror" clean and flawless,we need to establish a flexible,dynamic,rigorous language norms.Similarly,the rapid evolution of the phenomenon of Neology is also true.In the process of development of Neology,there are complicated problems and the use of contamination is not standard,this paper puts forward two principles:the principle of appropriateness and parsimony.Finally,some predict the development of the "neologism",that its development prospects should not be underestimated.In the third chapter,the perspective of this study is transferred to the sentimental meaning of the new words in the old words.We explore the changes of the emotional color in the static and dynamic situations,summarizes the laws,causes and characteristics of the changes in the new meaning,in order to promote and enrich the study of Chinese new words.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of this article,which mainly elaborates the overall understanding of the phenomenon of neologism,the conclusions and the shortcomings in the research process and the aspects that need to be explored and analyzed.
