The Study Of The Chinese Handwriting Features And Its Relationship With Personality

Purpose:This research aims at exploring the factor structure of Chinese handwriting features under the quantitative system of Chinese characters handwriting(CCQAS5.0);and realizing the differences of Chinese handwriting features among participants with different gender,age,education background,career types and BMI;and unstandsanding the discrimination of Chinese handwriting features to different personality traits;mainly discussing the relationship bteween Chinese handwriting features and personality traits,unstandsanding the gender differences of the relationship between Chinese characteristics and personality.Methodology:Using expert evaluation method to determine the ?chunxiao?of the Five-Word Poem as the standardized Chinese charaters copy material;exploying the signature screen of HangWang ESP1020 as a collection tool to collect the handwriting datas and personal information datas of 750 urban and rutal residents from 15 cities,finally getting 714 vavlid samples,of which 350 participants completed the Chinese people seven factors of personality questionnaire survey(CSPI)at the same time,finally getting 300 valid personal datas;Subsequently we adopted the quantitative system of Chinese characters handwriting(CCQAS5.0)to quantize the 36 items of objective handwriting features and 4 items of subjective handwriting features;Finally using SPSS21.0 to conduct the exploratory factor analysis,correlation analysis,variance analysis and discriminant analysis,ect.Results: After the principal componets factor analysis on 40 items of Chinese handwriting features,the study can be extraced “space occupation”,“pressure features”,“average tracking”,“first word layout”,“entir echapter features”,“stroke features”,“title margins ”ect.7 handwriting factors,explaining 75.66% of the total variance.There are significant differences of multiple handwriting features among participants with different gender,age,education background,career types and BMI(P<0.05,P<0.01),in specifically,male are significantly higher than female inhandwring average pressure,average tracking.etc.In addition,there is a significant negative correlation between gnneral appearance,overall neat degrees,ect.15 items of Chinese handwriting features and the personality traits,such as emotional(P<0.05,P<0.01);there is a significant positive correlation between long vertical,vertical pressure,handwring average pressure,ect.12 items of Chinesehandwriting features and the personalty traits,such virtues(P<0.05,P<0.01);Moreover,there is a gender differences of the relationship between Chinese characteristics and personality;Finally,the correct discrimination rate of Chinese handwriting features to gender is 63%;the correct discrimination rate of Chinese handwriting features to different personality traits range from 61% to 62%.Conclusion:(1)40 items of Chinese handwriting features under the quantitative system of Chinese characters handwriting(CCQAS5.0)combined “space occupation”,“pressure features”,“average tracking”,“first word layout”,“entir echapter features”,“stroke features”,“title margins ”ect.7 handwriting factors;(2)The differences of some handwriting features among participants with different gender,different age group,different education group,career types and different BMI have statistical significance;(3)Chinese handwriting features have a 63% correct discrimination to gender,handwriting features have a better discrimination to gender;(4)There are internal correlation between personality traits like emotional and mutiple handwriting features,the relationships are different for different genders;(5)Chinese handwriting features,such as handwring average pressure,first line gredient,have a better discrimination to different personality traits,such emotional,agreeableness,virtues.
