The Japanese nation is a nation that advocates nature and gods,and has always believed in the existence of the gods and ghosts since the time of the Jomon period,and the folk formed the beliefs of "eight million gods".In this cultural background,on the basis of learning from the Chinese ghost culture,the Japanese nation eastablished a rich and colorful monster culture,and shaped a large number of freshmonster images,which formed an important part of the Japanese culture.Monster culture has penetrated into all aspects of Japanese people's lives,it is presented through comics,films,television,paintings,literary works,etc.It is developed by all these forms above as well.Many writers who write about monsters and literary works of monsters emerged in the course of the entire history of Japanese literature,which formed a unique tradition of monster literature.It can be said that monster literature is a key factor in the study of Japanese national culture.The thesis explores a modern Japanese writer Murousaisei,which is characterized by the creation of the monster image,and analyzes the images of the monsters depicted in the collection named "boy".Murousaisei is Born on August 1,1889 in the Kanazawa City,Hokuriku region of Japan,it is a city of conservative and traditional cultureHe is a Japanese writer who live through three ages,that is the Meiji,Taisho,and Showa.Mountains and rivers of hometown,miserable childhood,bumpy life experience all of these gave him an unique insight to llife,sociey and people,and bred his unique,delicate writing style.In hisworks he depicts a large number of fresh,typical monster images,creating a world full of fantasy.The frequent debut of monster images is not only the main characteristic of his litarary creation,but also the major cause of controversies concerning his writing.So far,the research productions that based on the perspective of monsters in his works are less,so it is conductive to implement in-depth study of his literary creation and spiritual world by interpreting his monsters images.The collection of "boy" is the representative ofmonster creation,in which the works arewrittenin the chaos,turbulent Taisho years,it is a product created by the writer and the time.Based on the knowledge of Japanese folk tales and folklore,this thesis explores the characteristics of the monsters in the works of the rhyme star,and explores the deep motives influencesand significance of the writers' creation.The Murousaisei through the deformation,direct sensory performance and the interweaving of good and evil which shape the boy,super women and Kanazawa legend in the mermaid,Tengu and many other monster image,The Murousaisei moldes the monster imagesof the boy,super power women and merman,Tengu in the Kanazawa legend,by the way of deformation,direct sensory performance and the interweaving of good and evil,which refract his contemplation and experience of disturbance,gloomy people and the turbulent society,these monster images have profound implication and realistic significance.The momsters created by the writer stand in sharp contrast to real people.At the same time,The monsters created by the writer Murousaisei is a breakthrough to the traditional ones which are characterized as bringing terror and harm,they express a faint sadness and tender feelings,behind the surface darkness,what can be felt is not decadent and negative,but a ascending,positive attitude toward life and the longing for a ideal life,even in a adversity.The writer conveys his disclosure and solicitude to human nature by the incredible monster world,which reflects his motive of illusory-home,that is returning to the natural nature of humanbeing and advocating mysteries,good faith.
