Gender role is individual in the synergistic effect of physiological factors,psychological factors,social factors,and through the formation of socialization as a gender based behavioral response patterns,gender role mapping with different cultural backgrounds and social behavior of male and female role expectations.The smooth development of College Students' gender role is conducive to improve their interpersonal situation,reduce the degree of interpersonal problem.In order to further clarify the relationship between gender role,interpersonal distress and self acceptance.This study randomly selected 407 college students as the research object,the use of Bem Sex Role Inventory,Interpersonal Relationship Scale and Self Acceptance Questionnaire questionnaire survey,aims to investigate gender role types,interpersonal distress and self acceptance,and explore the relationship between gender role and interpersonal problems,self acceptance,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The majority gender role types of college students is Androgyny type;boys in the androgyny and masculine type;female college students in the majority of androgyny and undifferentiated type(2)Male college students interpersonal distress was significantly higher than female students.In male students,femininity gets the highest interpersonal distress score.In female students,androgyny gets the lowest interpersonal distress score.(3)Female college students' self acceptance is significantly better than male students.In boys,the type of androgyny has the highest level of self acceptance.In girls,androgyny and masculine type have a higher level of self acceptance.(4)There was a significant correlation between male and female traits and interpersonal distress and self acceptance.In boys,male traits can be used to predict the high level of self acceptance and low degree of interpersonal distress.In girls,both male and female traits can predict high self acceptance and low interpersonal distress.(5)In male students,self acceptance plays an intermediary role in the relationship between male traits and interpersonal distress,that is,the influence of male traits on interpersonal distress.In the female students,self acceptance plays an intermediary role in the relationship between male traits,female traits and interpersonal distress.The result shows that for male college students,the development of male characteristics is beneficial to reduce the degree of interpersonal problems and enhance the level of self-acceptance.Moreover,the effect from masculine to interpersonal problems is totally mediated by self-acceptance.For female college students,the development of masculine and femininity both have a positive effect on reducing the degree of interpersonal problems and enhancing the level of self-acceptance,and the effects are totally mediated by self-acceptance.
