A Logical Semantic Analysis Of Chinese "Ba" Sentences

The "Ba" sentence is a special and commonly used sentence in modern Chinese.The typical "Ba" sentence in modern Chinese is composed of four parts,forming a basic structure,that is "A+Ba+B+C+D".A and B represent the part of objects that "Ba" sentence involves;C and D respectively represent the part of action and result in "Ba" sentence.Based on a large number of corpus,this article focuses on discussing the complicated syntactic structure and abundant semantic connotation of the "Ba" sentence in modern Chinese.On the basis of it,we apply the theory and methods of logical semantics to describe and analyze the formal of the "Ba" sentence's abundant semantic connotation.This thesis includes the following six chapters:The first chapter is an introduction.In this chapter,we clear the research value,research direction and research methods from the aspects of the research background,research significance and purpose,theory and research methods and the sources of the corpus.The second chapter analyzes the syntactic structure of the modern Chinese "Ba" sentence.Based on a large number of corpus,this chapter analyzes the structure characteristic of the whole "Ba" sentence and each parts,sorts out the structure characteristic of the general "Ba" sentence and the special "Ba" sentence,generalizes the structure form of the "Ba" sentence's each parts.The third chapter analyzes the semantic connotation of the modern Chinese "Ba" sentence.On the basis of meticulously analyzing the semantic connotation of the "Ba" sentence's each parts,this chapter then discusses the whole meaning of the "Ba" sentence.Analyzing the semantic connotation includes three aspects: semantic characteristics of each parts;the semantic relation of each parts and the semantic direction of part C and part D.In this chapter,we focus on analyzing the semantic direction of part C and D,because the abundant semantic connotation of the "Ba" sentence mostly from the different semantic direction of part C and D.This will influence the logical semantic analysis in the following chapter.Chapter four and five conduct a logical semantic analysis of the modern Chinese "Ba" sentence.These two chapters are the core of this paper.We try to use the predicate logic method in the logical semantics to analyze "Ba" firstly,then we respectively describe and analyze the formal of the disposal "Ba" sentence and cause "Ba" sentence's abundant semantic connotation,finally we try to conduct a logical semantic analysis of the ambiguous "Ba" sentence to help computer identify and comprehend the ambiguity of the "Ba" sentence effectively.The last chapter is the conclusion.In this chapter,we firstly draw a few conclusion from this paper,then we put forward some unsolved problems and the direction of efforts that the following research needs.Based on generalizing,sorting out and summarizing the research of predecessors,this article hopes to improve the ontology research of the modern Chinese "Ba" sentence.Besides,we try a new research perspective,use the related knowledge in the logical semantics to focus on discussing the abundant semantic connotation of the modern Chinese "Ba" sentence.
