The teaching objectives of the Second Language are learners can master and use it,which means this can realize languages' basic and primary function-communication,Consequently,spoken language teaching plays a significant role in learning the Second Language.Now,in Universitas Bunda Mulia,there are some problems in the aspect of oral Chinese teaching.Some of students in primary phase who can obtain a high score in paper test,surprisingly dare not to open their mouth in the oral test,which indicates oral expression abilities of Universitas Bunda Mulia's Chinese language learners remains to be dramatically improved.The author tries to choose the rehearsal teaching method to solve that problem for improving the freshmen's oral performance.The thesis is based on experiment and survey,which objects are two classes grade one students from Department of Chinese of Universitas Bunda Mulia.Every class 20 students and the experiment will last 12 weeks.Data collection tools include pre-test and post-test,interviewing and questionnaire,then do the data statistics and analysis after the whole experiment finished.Through pre-test and post-test,interviewing and questionnaire,the study validates if the rehearsal teaching method makes these students a progress in oral expression abilities.The study finds out these freshmen of Chinese Department at Universitas Bunda Mulia can not own a good oral Chinese ability before applying rehearsal teaching method,however,they do a better performance after this experiment implemented.In conclusion,Study has shown that rehearsal teaching method do a certain extent help in improving students' oral Chinese ability and language ability.
