The author has chosen Ma Yun's Speech at the Second World Internet Conference as the simulative simultaneous interpreting material.Based on his performance,he makes a comprehensive and systematic exposition on the interpreting practice from the aspect of task description, process description, interpreting analysis and task summary. He gives some improved measures for the problems and shortcomings arising from the task based on interpreting theories and strategies he learned. In addition,he makes some reflections and summaries which will lay a sound foundation for the following interpreting learning and practice. This report can be divided into four chapters.First of all,it is the task description, including the description of background information and task requirements;then,it is the process description, including the pre-interpreting preparation, interpreting process as well as post-interpreting assessment. The stage of pre-interpreting preparation covers the speaker's background information, speech style, terminologies as well as stress-relief preparations. And the post-interpreting evaluation includes self-evaluation and peer-evaluation;the third chapter is the interpreting analysis, which places emphasis on introducing the difficulties including interpreting of vocabularies and colloquial expressions with local characteristics and conversion between Chinese and English sentence structures as well as problems existing in the task such as misinterpretation and loss of some information. Then, the author puts forward some solutions on the basis of interpreting theories and skills as well as his professor's advice;the fourth one is the task summary, including the unsolved problems as well as implications for the future.
