With the increasingly rapid globalization,more and more people pay attention to the effective use of English.People from all over the world use English for culture exchange and trade cooperation.Interpreters are undoubtedly regarded as a bridge for mutual communication.Interpreters are required to be qualified in order to fulfill the interpreting task with high qualities.This paper is the author's practice report on her simulative simultaneous interpretation practice based on the Speech entitled “If you can't change the world,you should change yourself” delivered by Ma Yun at Columbia Business School.It can be divided into five chapters.Chapter One describes the background information and its requirements.Chapter Two consists of the pre-interpreting preparation,interpreting process and post-interpreting assessment.Chapter Three deals with the sentence structure conversion problem as well as other problems such as misinterpretation and information loss during the practice.Chapter Four comes up with specific solutions.Chapter Five briefly sums up some problems that remain unsolved in the report,some constructive ideas put forward by the author,and the implications for future oral interpretation study and practice.The focus of the simulative simultaneous interpretation report is to put forward some effective translation strategies by analyzing and reflecting the whole interpreting process.It is found that information loss and misinterpretation can be avoided by improving note-taking skills,mastering numerical expressions and overcoming stage fright.This study can provide some guidance for future interpretation practice.
