| The research aims to make an overall survey and make the situation clear according to the current situation of translators of CBA teams,design the indicators of ability structure of the current CBA translators and build capacity structure indicators.It is expected that by taking the indicators as reference,the staff of the industry can carry out evaluation and self-feedback.The main research methods include: literature review,Delphi method,questionnaire survey,mathematical statistic method,and logic analysis method.The result is as bellows:1.CBA club translators(English)refer to those who coordinate with the foreign players and coaches of the clubs to communicate with other staff of the clubs.They are mainly in charge of the translation work in training and competition,taking care of the daily life of the foreign players and help them adapt new living environment.2.Grade 2 indicator of CBA club translators includes such three Grade 2 indicators as foreign language ability,basketball ability and socializing ability.On such basis,it also includes 10 Grade 3 indicators including the abilities in speaking,translation of technical terms,comprehensive English application,cultural shock identification and application,communication and exchange,reaction,anti-stress,understanding of basketball skills and strategies,practice of basketball and teaching training.The Grade 2 indicators of abilities CBA club translators(English)cooperate and coordinate with each other,and the Grade 3 indicators integrate jointly,having structured the overall ability structure of the translators(English).3.The result of empirical research of CBA club translators(English): English ability,social skills,communication ability,basketball theory ability,clutural shock identification and application,terms translation ability,reaction,oral English,basketball practice ability are important indicators.They are indispensable indicators for CBA club translators.4.In CBA club translator(English)ability structure: Basketball ability,anti-stress ability,basketball teaching and teaching ability,comprehensive English application ability are relatively unimportant indicators.They are the indicators which differ the excellent translators from normal translators.5.The present situation of CBA club translators(English): the CBA club translator are composed of male people,they are equipped with a certain of quality-oriented education and English level,which match with Grade 2 indicators: English ability,social skills;Grade 3 indicators: oral English,comprehensive English application ability and cultural shock identification and application.They are missing a certain of basketball practicing,teaching and training experiences,which match with Grade 2 indicators basketball ability;Grade 3 indicators basketball theory ability,basketball practicing ability,basketball teaching and training ability. |
